Cardiovascular disease causes nearly twenty million deaths globally each year. Population aging alongside rising rates of obesity, hypertension, and diabetes puts continuous pressure on healthcare systems and national economies. Strengthening cardiovascular health across the Asia-Pacific region helps protect public health, maintain productive workforces, and support long-term economic stability.
To address these growing health burdens, member economies established a collaborative framework focused on prevention, early detection, treatment, and long-term recovery. This voluntary roadmap allows each economy to adapt policies to its own health priorities while sharing regional knowledge.
Through continuous experience sharing, regional partners can improve healthcare delivery without working in isolation. Enhancing cardiovascular care directly increases workforce productivity and protects households from severe financial strain. Stronger health policies ultimately contribute to sustainable economic growth across all participating markets.
